Princess Fiona Is Her Own Heroine

Shrek is a series of animated films that started in 2001 with a film of the same name. His companion throughout the journey is the Donkey, a very talkative animal.

An unusual princess

Princess Fiona is a beautiful young woman trapped inside a tower guarded by a horrible dragon. No one knows why her parents chose to keep her locked up in the tower ever since she was little. According to legend, only a brave knight riding a horse will be able to save her.

Princess Fiona, on the other hand, hides a terrible secret. She is the victim of a curse. Every night she turns into a ogre, only to become a human again at dawn. Just like in so many other princess stories, only the kiss of true love can lift the curse. Princess Fiona knows that the knight who comes to save her will be able to lift the curse. That’s why she’s so disappointed when Shrek and Donkey are the ones who come to her tower to save her. After all, he is an ugly, green ogre.

At the end of the first film, Princess Fiona and Shrek confess their love for each other. Then Princess Fiona decides to live in the swamp with her beloved, a ogre.
