Sometimes You Have To Close Your Eyes To See

Sometimes you have to close your eyes to see

Sometimes, in order to see, you have to close your eyes and open your heart. Only then will you be able to find out what really matters, what really matters. Because when you open your inner eyes and satisfy your soul, your horizon will expand and new opportunities will arise.

According to neurologists, we generate around 50,000 thoughts per day. However, most of them are mechanical and repetitive. Due to the enormous amount of information we receive from new technology and environmental requirements, we suffer more and more from mental exhaustion. We are so overwhelmed by the outside world that we have completely neglected our inner world.

Sometimes we are distracted by obsessive and confusing thoughts, to the point where we neglect our priorities and stop listening to ourselves. We have focused our gaze so intensely on the outside that we have become emotionally myopic, and we need to wear glasses to find happiness.

When the eyes get tired of seeing

Believe it or not, the mind is very used to internal conflict. This is because our brain must continually adapt to each situation and stimulus it is presented with. Stress at work, family problems, our own ambitions, social relationships. There are always problems to solve, worries to calm down, empty rooms to fill, and fires to put out.

The mental noise produced by all these problems can be relentless and unforgiving. This is when stress begins to make marks on the brain, when our eyes lose focus. They forget to look inward on our own conscience to see what is really important.

It is interesting to note that if you experience long periods of stress and anxiety, the amygdala, which is the area of the brain associated with fear and emotion, begins to shrink. This change in structure has a direct impact on our frontal lobe, which is associated with superior brain functions such as consciousness, concentration and the ability to make decisions.

This means that when we go through difficult times dominated by worries, stress and annoying mental noise, it becomes very difficult to keep in touch with ourselves. We break the invisible connection between ourselves and our own conscience due to a small change in the structure of the brain.

But do not forget the power of neuroplasticity, or the brain’s subtle ability to restructure itself. Thanks to exercises such as meditation, mindfulness and other strategies, we can turn our eyes to ourselves again.

A grateful mind is a well-rested mind

A grateful mind is a well-rested mind that will show you what is really important. This sentence may seem a little too poetic or out of context. How can you be grateful for something if you feel dissatisfied, have heartache or are sad? The first logical step is to free yourself from all internal conflict.

When you are done with all the emotional struggles, you will feel the pure energy you need to free yourself from external limitations.

Everyone wants happiness without pain, peace in the storm and good feelings instead of anger. But you must understand something important: you will never be able to see a rainbow without a little rain.

Close your eyes so you can see

The first step is to learn to control your thoughts. Do not forget that your thoughts directly affect your feelings and perceptions of reality. Practice the following:

  • Close your eyes and forbid the  past and the future from appearing in your mind: “If I had been there,” “If I had done it,” “When he tells me he loves me, then I will be happy,” ” when I have it I will feel better, ” etc.
  • With your eyes closed, promise yourself that you will begin to communicate with yourself in the present: “I will,” “I can,” “I will,” etc.
  • To close your eyes and see what is very important in your life, you can not leave your mind empty. Not only is it impossible, it’s a waste. You need to fertilize your head with positive, inspiring and beneficial thoughts.
  • Think and reflect positively. Thinking this way will not blind you to reality or truth. Rather, it involves reviving your mind and soul to promote self-confidence and break the flow of negative or limiting thoughts.

Give it a try. Dare to close your eyes so you can see, to light the candle in your heart and take care of the needs you have neglected, as if they were old toys.
